Linda Wright, of Gwich’in descent, hails from Inuvik, Northwest Territories, and belongs to a family of artists. Her childhood, surrounded by the northern beauty, ignited her artistic passion. Traveling through the Western Arctic and Sahtu regions, she draws inspiration from these unique landscapes and cultures. With a background in Graphic Design and Arts and Cultural Management, her vibrant artwork, characterized by curvilinear lines, reflects Gwich’in oral storytelling traditions and environmental themes. Linda’s art is a blend of dreams, culture, and northern landscapes.
